First activities in the automobil sector. Delivery of a high performance ignition system to Audi AG.
1980:
Development and first production of a revelutionary product: the short-travel switch. First application is the window lift pushbutton in Audi.
1992:
First deal with Ferrari. Switches for the Ferrari 456 GT.
1999:
Spin-off and relocation of the Busch-Jaeger car electrics to Hamm. Busch-Jaeger is organised as a profit centre.
2000:
Best business year in corporate history of Busch Jaeger Car Electrics.
2000:
At the end of the year Busch-Jaeger GmbH sells it’s autocar line to the group of investors 3i.
2001:
Begin of independence under the name of Automotive GmbH.
2002/2003:
New product lines with more than 150 variants were developed.
2006:
Defond becomes partner to BJA and keeps a share of 85%.
2008:
Defond becomes the owner of BJA.
2009/2010:
BJA and Defond (DAC) act together in the automotive business.
2010:
BJA is certified according to ISO / TS 16949.
