BJ Automotive emerged from the separation of the automotive division of the Busch-Jaeger Elektro GmbH. BJA automotive activities began in the 1970s with the first series deliveries of high-performance ignition systems to Audi AG.
In the following years, a powerful corporate unit evolved as a result of Busch-Jaeger’s distinctive electromechanical expertise and their special know-how in the switch and push-button segments.
In 2006, BJ Automotive was acquired and became a fully integrated subsidiary of Defond. With this merger, BJA can leverage on the group’s diverse manufacturing experience to bring enhanced supply chain reliability and further technological growth. In the following years, BJ Automotive transformed itself from a hardware mechanical components supplier to an integrated solutions supplier capable of building multi-functional HMI, lighting, and LIN/CAN-driven modules.With our latest qualification of ASPICE level 2 in 2020, our company today has extensive product development and production experience for innovative HMI solutions.
